For God So Loved The World

Billy woke up and went to church like he did every Sunday morning. He had just turned 5 and was going to be able to switch Sunday School classes today. He was excited; he really liked Miss Amy who was the teacher for 5 and 6 year olds. He couldn’t wait to get there.

Miss Amy invited him into the class with a big smile. In this class, they were given a bible verse to memorize each week. Today’s verse was John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” Billy thought this was a very long verse and didn’t think he could remember it all, but he as going to try.

“Mom”, Billy said on the way home, “Do you know John 3:16?”
