How do you become a visionary leader?

CHOOSE TO LEAD with VISION

Being a leader is not automatic. It has nothing to do with whether you have been hired by a church or what title you may have been given. Leadership is a challenge you embrace. Your children’s ministry will become a reflection of you. Whether it is upbeat and positive and exciting or whether it feels like a doomed ship in the middle of a cold calm ocean is entirely up to you!

Do you know the difference between a thermostat and a thermometer? One sets the temperature, the other merely reflects the temperature. I challenge you to be the THERMOSTAT of your children’s ministry! Be the one who sets the tone, the tempo, and the themes of your ministry! You CHOOSE to be the positive one, the optimistic one, the encouraging one, the one who relies on God and isn’t fazed by the momentary problems that are everyday experiences in ministry. You have the opportunity to choose to lead!

THAT is what a VISIONARY LEADER does! A VISIONARY sees what NO ONE ELSE CAN SEE and helps them see it too!
