HOW TO USE THE BOOKS!

These books are fabulous for small groups; for reading out loud in class with free-flowing group discussion.

SCHEDULE: 1 week for the intro and 2 weeks for each of the 5 chapters equals 11 weeks. The last week can be a party with a special guest testimony, cake, and ice cream.

DAILY READINGS: Get a book for each student. Have them write their name in the book and bring it each week. Have a few extras for those who forget. It will become a habit and the kids will have these books for the coming years to go back over what you taught them.

Encourage them to read a couple of pages a day at breakfast, writing questions and notes in the wide margins. Give them highlighters.

Give them bookmarks you've made to remind them of things the Lord impresses on your heart concerning this material.

Designate a "designated designator" each week to pick the reader of each half of the page you are studying. This job is a reward for bringing your book!

Each chapter has:
BLACK BOXES: Brain starters. Lively discussion always comes from these jump starts.
Q&A: Have your kids pencil in their own answers. My answers are in the 1st appendix. This is great for weekly review.
PRAYER: To let the kids "own" the transformational ideas they just studied.
In the APPENDIX: How to be saved along with a written prayer of salvation.
Kinetic chapter ACTIVITIES: Suggestions for full-contact kinetic learning.

And some kids will be sufficiently intellectually challenged by what's in the chapters, but others will want to DIG DEEPER. Send those kids to Appendix 4 and ask them to report back to the whole class.
