Topic: Free Rewards for Volunteers

Use gifts, experiences of your congregation to reward your volunteers.

We found people in our congregation who had some unique toys or gifts that they were willing to share. These included a boat to go fishing, a private pilot offered a plane ride, a massage, a free manicure/pedicure, a motorcycle ride, dinner by a chef, pool party; kayak trip; and some others. We then had a dinner and invited all of our volunteers. Each received 5 tickets and they got to put them in for a drawing for which items they would like. They could put all 5 in 1 drawing or split them. We found that we had some great relationships that were formed, people loved sharing their toys or gifts, and they were wonderful treats for the winners.
