Do you trust the accuracy of shared information?

Trust. It can be hard to gain and easy to lose. Recently, researchers have assessed how people view trust through the lens of child development research. Data suggest that adults, like children, tend to follow advice given with confidence, whether right or wrong. But unfortunately, when the information turns out to be inaccurate, trust is lost and hard to regain. In addition, due to a lack of confidence, advice is rarely followed when given with hesitancy or uncertainty.
