Topic: Parent Follow Up

Sample letter to send parents when a child makes a decision to accept Jesus as their Savior at church.

Few things are as exciting in ministry as when a child makes a decision to accept Jesus as their Savior at church! That what it's all about, right! But we know, that's just the beginning of their spiritual journey!

We also know that it is the culmination of what they've been learning at home and at church and we must include the kids parents in the celebration.

That's why it's important to communicate with parents when a child makes a decision at church. The parents may or may not be believers - so we want to clearly explain the decision the kids made, and pre-emptively answer questions the parents may have.

We also know that kids sometimes pray to receive Christ many times despite our attempts to explain that they don't need to - but that's OK, God knows their hearts and there is no harm in their wanting a fresh experience. Explaining this to parents is helpful too.
