It’s no secret that loving, nurturing relationships are a critical foundation for a child’s social, emotional and intellectual growth. Children learn how to trust, have empathy, and develop cognitive skills through the modeling of these traits from the significant adults in their lives. From both verbal and non-verbal cues, children see what it means to express emotions and actions in safe and appropriate ways.
