What is VISION?

In its simplest form, Vision is the ability to see what isn’t there - to create a mental image of where it is you are going.

When you have vision, you see what others cannot. When your ministry has vision, your volunteers see more clearly why they do what they do and where you are heading as a ministry. A rough Sunday without vision is depressing - a rough Sunday with vision is still progress. Vision brings hope. Volunteers without hope are merely doing a job or fulfilling a duty. Volunteers who have caught a vision will go above and beyond because their focus is clearer; they are part of something much bigger and grander than just their volunteer position.

We’ve all heard the quotation, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” (Proverbs 29:18 KJV) But what is VISION when it comes to your children’s ministry?
