Topic: Prayer

A talk on the power of praying in Christ’s name. Praying in Christ’s name is as if Jesus handed us His own divine credit card, it will never run out. We must, however, ask for the things that He would want and would be pleasing to Him. (John 16: 24)

There are many ways to end a conversation. You might say, “Goodbye,” or “See you later.” If you are writing, you might end with “Sincerely yours.” If you are talking on a CB radio, the way to end is, “10-4, over and out.” Oh, and when praying the signoff phrase is, “In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Well, considering that you are talking to God, I guess that’s better than, “Goodbye.”

“In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Where did that phrase come from and what does it mean?
