Harvest Festival Shoebox Packing Party

This year Veggie Tales is Partnering with Operation Christmas Child's Shoebox Campaign. They have a new movie and support for churches available. Since we always get busy with Christmas programs etc. as the season speeds in we decided to use October 31st as a family packing party day. Most of our shoeboxes here are going to South America so we are going to replicate a Carnaval/Festival theme and also include shoebox packing into our evening. We will be seeking donations from the congregation for the Shoeboxes and also from families as they come that night. Then we will have a bunch of stations set up like games, crafts etc. as well as ones to wrap a shoebox, fill a shoe box, write a letter & take a pic of you for the shoebox. We are also going to do a few pinatas during the night. The second half will involve the dedication of our boxes and a viewing of the new veggie tales movie, St. Nicholas.
